Jacobs is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to join our Advanced Manufacturing group in San Diego, California. The successful candidate will manage technical quality and client expectations for projects across the United States.

This role involves extensive site development and utility routing, requiring excellent analytical and design skills in civil engineering as well as communication and teamwork capabilities. A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and relevant experience are essential.

Overview

We're looking for a Senior Civil Engineer to join our Advanced Manufacturing group and work on state‑of‑the‑art industrial and commercial facilities across the United States. This role requires responsibility for schedule and technical quality, client expectations, scope, budget, and schedule.

Responsibilities

• Site development, site master planning, and site selection
• Underground utility routing and site space planning
• Hydrology analysis for designing storm drain systems
• Analyzing and designing gravitational wastewater systems
• Performing final grading plans including cut and fill analysis and earthwork balancing
• Providing erosion and sediment control plans, stormwater pollution prevention plans and supporting permit approval
• Researching and adhering to local Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) requirements for design and construction in any given area
• Stormwater analysis and modeling in software applications such as StormCAD and CivilStorm

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
• 3 or more years of engineering experience, including extensive related project experience
• Strong working knowledge and experience in analyzing and designing all aspects of medium to large‑scale industrial developments
• Demonstrated experience with all design modules of AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and interpersonal skills
• Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a variety of teams, including multidisciplinary teams
• Displayed ability to learn quickly and driven to broaden knowledge base

Ideal Qualifications

• PE certification
• Bluebeam experience
• Experience using Navisworks

Salary

The base salary range for this position is $132,900.00 to $174,450.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
