Job summary

IntelliPro seeks an experienced Consulting Engineer (Civil/Structural) for Nuclear Projects in Surry, VA. The role covers design, structural analysis, piping support design, rigging evaluations, and field implementation on major capital projects at a nuclear facility.

Required are 10+ years in civil/structural design, nuclear experience, and proficiency with design change packages and IP-ENG-001 processes. Hybrid work with significant onsite activities is expected.

Qualifications

• Strong background in structural engineering and seismic design.
• Experience with piping supports, rigging analysis, heavy load evaluations, and design verification.
• Experience developing equipment procurement specifications.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare engineering design change packages and supporting nuclear engineering documentation.
• Perform and review 10 CFR 50.59 Screens and Applicability Reviews.
• Conduct engineering assessments supporting piping replacements, floor loading, heavy rigging, and structural modifications.
• Review and approve engineering procedures, drawings, calculations, contingency plans, and training materials.
• Provide onsite engineering support during implementation and outage activities.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to support large capital projects.

Pay: $90–$100/hr on w2

Work Schedule: 50% Remote / 50% Onsite (Flexibility up to 75% remote / 25% onsite for the right candidate)

Duration: 1-Year Contract (Potential Extension-Long term project)

Per Diem: $100/day ($700/week)

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare engineering design change packages and supporting nuclear engineering documentation.
• Perform and review 10 CFR 50.59 Screens and Applicability Reviews.
• Conduct engineering assessments supporting piping replacements, floor loading, heavy rigging, and structural modifications.
• Review and approve engineering procedures, drawings, calculations, contingency plans, and training materials.
• Provide onsite engineering support during implementation and outage activities.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to support large capital projects.
