Job summary

Shirley Contracting Company, LLC is seeking an Engineer to support civil, utility, bridge and structures projects across the VA/MD/DC region. The base salary range is $60,000-90,000 with potential variation based on education, experience and location.

Responsibilities include quantity tracking, cost reporting, subcontract administration and submittal management, along with ensuring health and safety compliance on site.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication, organizational and time-management skills.
• Team player with leadership abilities.
• General understanding of heavy highway / civil construction industry.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Obtain self-perform and subcontractor quantities and tickets daily; sort, code, file and transmit to owner or GC.
• Generate daily cost and revenue reports for tracking.
• Review Forman Daily Timecard for accurate cost coding, quantities, people and equipment hours.
• Administer subcontracts and subcontractor payment requests; coordinate field work.
• Assist in preparing change orders and RFIs for self-perform and subcontractors.
• Review and submit submittals to owner or general contractor per contract documents.
• Ensure adherence to health and safety policies and maintain positive working relationships.
