Job summary

Island Construction & Demolition seeks an experienced Civil Construction Manager to lead civil projects from inception to completion. You will oversee site development, roadways, utilities, and earthwork, coordinating with engineers, clients, and regulators.

The role requires strong leadership, CAD proficiency, and a proven track record in managing safety and budgets across complex infrastructure programs. Full-time on-site position with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience managing civil construction projects.
• Proficiency in CAD software for reviewing and interpreting technical drawings.
• Strong knowledge of civil construction methods, materials, and equipment.
• Excellent project management and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and coordinate civil construction projects, ensuring adherence to specifications, budgets, and schedules
• Manage and supervise construction crews, subcontractors, and on-site personnel
• Review and interpret project plans, blueprints, and technical drawings to ensure accurate implementation
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and compliance with safety regulations
• Coordinate with engineers, architects, clients, and regulatory agencies throughout project lifecycle
• Prepare and maintain project documentation, including daily reports, progress updates, and change orders
• Develop and manage project budgets, tracking costs and identifying potential overruns
• Implement and enforce safety protocols and OSHA regulations on all job sites
• Resolve construction issues and conflicts as they arise, making critical decisions to keep projects on track
• Schedule and allocate resources, equipment, and materials efficiently
• Conduct pre-construction meetings and coordinate project logistics
• Ensure proper permitting and regulatory compliance for all construction activities
