Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a full-time Construction Inspector in Springfield, IL to support the Construction Management Team on road and highway projects. You will help ensure conformance to plans, specifications, and contract documents.

Responsibilities include field inspection, document control, submittal reviews, logging daily reports, and coordinating with the Resident Engineer. A high school diploma, strong MS Office skills, and an Illinois driver's license are required, with a Bachelor’s degree

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Strong technical writing, analytical and communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with safety compliance and quality work focus.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Inspect construction work for conformance with plans and contract documents.
• Maintain logs and submittal reviews; coordinate with Resident Engineer.
• Assist with office engineer duties and document control.
