• Place and finish concrete according to drawings and plans.
• Follow supervisor directions for additional assignments.

Turner Industries Group, LLC has an opening for a Civil Carpenter to join our Team in the El Paso, TX area. The Civil Carpenter will be responsible for constructing, erecting, installing, fabricating, dismantling and repairing structures, formwork and fixtures of wood, metal forms and associated accessories.

Essential Qualifications:

• High school or equivalent
• One (1) to four (4) years of experience in specified skill (depending on mechanic level)
• Basic knowledge of hand tools and power tools
• NCCER certification may be required at some job sites
• Written pre-employment qualification test
• Post-offer drug/alcohol screen and physical evaluation
• Job site safety requirements as required by the client (clean shaven, long sleeves, steel toe boots, etc.)
• Safety equipment as required by the client (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, respirator, hearing protection, safety harness with lanyard, etc.)
• Applicant/employee must not pose a direct threat to the health and safety of others in the workplace

Functional Requirements:

Studies blueprints, sketches or structural plans for information pertaining to the type of material required, suchas lumber or fiberboard, and dimensions of structure or fixture to be fabricated, Selects specific types of lumberor other materials, Prepares layouts including lines and grades, Marks cutting and assembly lines on materials,Shapes materials to prescribed measurements, Assembles cut and shaped materials and fastens them together,Erects framework for structures and lays sub-flooring, Builds stairs and lays out and installs partitions and cabinetwork, Covers subfloor with building paper to keep out moisture and lays hardwood, parquet, andwood-strip-block floors, Fits and installs prefabricated window frames, doors, door frames, weather stripping,interior and exterior trim, and finishes hardware such as locks, letter drops and kick plates, Constructs forms andchutes for pouring concrete, Erects temporary platforms, steps, and ladders for assembling structures belowground, at ground level or above ground level, Fabricates formwork then loads, hauls, and carries it to the jobsite and installs per drawings, sketches, or plans, Places and finishes concrete in formwork and sets and alignsform panels, Sets grout forms for epoxy and cement grout, Perform additional assignments per supervisor'sdirection.

Physical Involvement:
