Qualifications

• Associates or technical degree in Drafting/Design preferred.
• Typically, 3-7 years of experience is required.
• Experience with drafting boundary and topographic surveys, pipe networks, parcels, and subdivisions.
• Working knowledge of Civil 3D and proficiency with MS Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Understand project schedules and budgets and work efficiently within project guidelines.
• Have a basic understanding of civil engineering principles, approvals, and permitting for civil projects.
• Draft boundary and topographic surveys, pipe networks, parcels, and subdivisions.
• Work with Civil 3D and AutoCAD; coordinate with engineers on design.
• Prepare improvement plans, specifications, and permit applications for subdivisions and developments.
• Perform plan drafting using AutoCAD and Civil 3D.

About the Role

Join our team as a Civil CAD Designer and play an important role in bringing exciting land development and public works projects to life. You’ll work alongside experienced engineers to transform concepts into detailed site, grading, utility, and stormwater designs while contributing to projects ranging from commercial and multifamily developments to subdivisions and infrastructure improvements. Responsibilities

• Understand project schedules and budgets and work efficiently within project guidelines.
• Possess a basic understanding of principles, practices of civil engineering, approval, and permitting process for civil projects.
• Experience with drafting boundary and topographic surveys, pipe networks, parcels, and subdivisions.
• Working knowledge/experience using Civil 3D and proficiency with MS Office Suite.
• U.S. Army Corps of Engineers drafting experience is a plus.
• Works in conjunction with an engineer on the preliminary design of the site, grading, water/wastewater layout, and storm sewer layout.
• Assists in the preparation of improvement plans, specifications, supporting documents, and permit applications for subdivisions, commercial developments, multifamily developments, and public works projects.
• Performs plan drafting using AutoCAD and Civil 3D software.

Education

• Associates or technical degree in Drafting/Design preferred.

• Typically, 3-7 years of experience is required.

The estimated starting base salary for this role is $28.00-$35.00.
