Job summary

BKF Engineers is seeking an experienced CAD Drafter / Civil 3D Technician to support civil infrastructure projects across Transportation, Land Development, and Water Resources. You will produce construction documents, update plan sets, and coordinate with engineering staff.

This hands-on role requires 5+ years of drafting experience, proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D, and strong attention to detail. Travel to BKF locations and client sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent amount of professional experience is a must.
• 5+ years of drafting experience with CAD, preferably civil/infrastructure drawings.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Autodesk Civil 3D (Revit experience a plus).
• Familiarity with Bluebeam or other PDF markup tools is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication and collaboration across teams.

Responsibilities

• Produce and edit AutoCAD/Civil 3D drawings for civil infrastructure plans.
• Translate redlines and design concepts into build-ready drawings.
• Develop and maintain 2D/3D models, layouts, and plan sets.
• Generate PDF drawing packages with Bluebeam.
• Support project teams with drafting and document control.
• Coordinate with engineers to ensure drawing accuracy and standards.
• Manage drawing revisions and version control.
• Stay current with Civil 3D tools and best practices.
