Job summary

Concept Engineers Inc, based in Houston, TX, is seeking a talented Civil 3D Designer to join our growing team. You will develop detailed civil designs and construction drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3D, managing alignments, profiles, corridors, and surface models for civil infrastructure projects.

You will collaborate with engineers and project managers to deliver accurate design deliverables, prepare plan sheets and site layouts, and perform quantity takeoffs.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D is required.
• 2+ years of experience in civil design or drafting.
• Experience with land development, roadway, drainage, or utility design.
• Strong understanding of civil engineering principles and design standards.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering plans, specifications, and survey data.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed civil engineering designs and construction drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Create and manage alignments, profiles, corridors, grading, and surface models.
• Collaborate with engineers and project managers to deliver accurate and timely design deliverables.
• Prepare plan and profile sheets, site plans, and utility layouts for civil infrastructure projects.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and assist with construction documentation.
• Review and redline drawings for quality control and compliance with project standards.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
