Job summary

Ramboll US Corporation in Syracuse, Rochester, or Albany, NY, is seeking a Civil 3D Designer / CAD Technician to support large-scale site development projects. You will provide drafting and design support using Civil 3D for grading, drainage, utilities, roadways, and erosion control.

Ideal candidates have a technical diploma or associate degree and 3+ years of Civil 3D/CAD experience, with strong attention to detail and collaboration with engineers and surveyors.

Qualifications

• Technical diploma, associate degree, or equivalent in civil engineering technology or CAD drafting.
• 3+ years of civil/site CAD drafting and design experience with AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Experience with land development plans and Civil 3D models.

Responsibilities

• Provide Civil 3D drafting and design support for land development projects through due diligence, planning, design, permitting, and construction.
• Prepare and maintain site development plans with grading, drainage, utilities, roadways, and erosion control.
• Develop and manage Civil 3D models including surfaces, alignments, profiles, corridors, pipes, and earthwork.
• Collaborate with engineers, surveyors, environmental specialists, and other teams to produce coordinated drawings.
• Maintain organized project files, CAD standards, and support field data collection and revisions.
