Job summary

The City of Rincon, GA is seeking a dynamic City Manager to serve as the chief administrative officer, reporting to the Mayor and City Council. This role requires strategic leadership, strong governance, and a commitment to transparent public outreach during a period of rapid growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in public administration or related field is required.
• Five years of progressively responsible municipal government management experience.
• Valid Georgia driver’s license and background check required.
• ICMA Credential preferred; residency within Rincon/Effingham County preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer municipal functions and oversee day-to-day operations and finances.
• Supervise 100 staff and nine department heads; ensure professional mentorship and advocacy.
• Bridge policy and execution between Mayor/City Council and departments.
• Lead strategic planning, infrastructure growth, and capital projects.
• Engage community and regional partners to align growth with governance standards.
