Job summary

The United States Postal Service is hiring for City Carrier Assistant (CCA) positions. CCAs deliver and collect mail on foot or by vehicle, work on a route with potential clerical duties, and may be asked to perform related tasks.

A valid state driver’s license and a safe driving record are required, with at least two years of unsupervised driving experience in the U.S. This is a non-career 360-day term, with possible renewal; a Virtual Entry Assessment – MC (474) is required.

Responsibilities

• Routes or cases all classes of mail in sequence of delivery on an established route.
• Delivers mail along a prescribed route, on foot or by vehicle, on a regular schedule.
• Uses portable electronic scanner as instructed.
• Follows Postal Service policies and procedures and maintains customer relations.
