Job summary

The City of Zanesville is seeking an enthusiastic Part-Time Armed Security Officer to provide security services for City Hall and municipal properties. You will maintain a visible presence, control access, patrol premises, respond to incidents, and assist visitors while upholding professional conduct and city policies.

Qualifications include a current Ohio Peace Officer Commission; ability to carry and qualify with a firearm; preference for Auxiliary Police Officer experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Preference for Auxiliary Police Officer experience.
• Experience in government facilities or public-facing environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide armed security for City Hall and municipal facilities.
• Monitor and control access to City Hall and verify entry.
• Conduct regular patrols of the premises and respond to incidents.
• Assist employees and visitors with information and safety concerns.
• Enforce city policies and security procedures.
