Job summary

The City of San Pablo is seeking an Engineering Services Manager to lead the Engineering Division within the Public Works Department. Under the general direction of the Public Works Director, the Engineering Services Manager plans, organizes, manages, and directs the programs, personnel, projects, and operations of the Engineering Division while serving as the City’s designated City Engineer.

The ideal candidate has at least five years of municipal civil engineering experience, including

Qualifications

• Five years of progressively responsible civil engineering experience with municipal focus.
• Minimum two years in supervisory or management capacity.
• Experience with CIP and development engineering.
• California PE license required or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Oversee engineering design, development review, construction management, transportation, and traffic.
• Direct Capital Improvement Program (CIP) and supervise staff.
• Manage consultants, contracts, and professional services.
• Prepare and administer operating and capital budgets.
• Advise City leadership on engineering and regulatory matters.
