Sumter Local Government Consulting is seeking a City Administrator for White House, TN, to lead the City’s daily operations and align efforts with the Mayor and Board. You will manage departments, direct capital projects, and advance the community’s long-term plan from the Mayor’s Office.

The ideal candidate brings proven municipal leadership, hands-on experience with budgets and personnel, and strong communication with officials and residents. This is a full-time, on-site role in White House.

Qualifications

• Proven track record in municipal government management
• Experience overseeing operations, capital projects, budgets, and personnel
• Strong communication and collaboration with elected officials

Responsabilités

• Serve as the primary operational leader of the City organization. Direct and coordinate all municipal operations and departmental activities.
• Provide policy recommendations and strategic guidance to the Board.
• Support the development and implementation of long-range goals and initiatives.
• Employ, promote, discipline, suspend, and discharge employees and department heads in accordance with Board-approved personnel policies.
• Prepare and submit the annual budget and capital program to the Board.
• Oversee infrastructure assets including roads, sewer systems, and stormwater.
• Lead and develop a team of department heads across police, fire, parks, public services, wastewater, planning, and library.
• Maintain regular communication with residents, businesses, and community stakeholders.
