Job summary

CALNET, Inc. is seeking a Citrix System Administrator with an Active Secret Clearance to perform on-site support in Washington DC.

You will manage Citrix XenDesktop/XenApp/XenStoreFront, perform upgrades, monitor health, backups, and capacity, and coordinate with stakeholders to resolve incidents and improve services. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and at least 6 years of relevant experience, US citizenship, and certifications such as CompTIA Security+ and Citrix Virtualization.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor’s degree and at least 6 years of relevant experience.
• Active Secret Clearance is required; US Citizenship is required due to government contracts.
• Certifications: CompTIA Security+, Citrix Virtualization (CCA/CPV) required.
• Experience with Citrix and enterprise IT operations in government or regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide operations support and rapidly distinguish user problems vs outages for Citrix tech.
• Monitor Citrix infrastructure for anomalies affecting customers.
• Collaborate on network latency analysis to improve user experience.
• Implement version and architectural changes to maintain operability and security.
• Execute major system upgrades as designed.
• Perform periodic backup and restoration of servers.
• Monitor desktop capacity based on usage trends.
• Track License and Certificate status and coordinate renewals.
• Coordinate with customers to collect data and implement solutions to tickets.
• Establish availability and capacity management using lessons learned.
• Develop solutions to technical issues.
• Provide follow-up reports for root cause analysis and process improvement.
