Job summary

Citizens Bank in Cranston, RI is hiring a Teller to greet customers, demonstrate mobile app and ATMs, and help with simple transactions while delivering personalized financial guidance.

You will build long-term relationships, follow cash handling and policies, and connect customers to bankers for next steps, with a strong community focus and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• 6 months’ experience processing transactions (cash/digital).
• At least 1 year of customer experience with referrals.
• Strong listening and communication skills.
• Able to ask questions and identify customer needs.
• Customer-focused and able to work with digital tools.
• Able to work branch hours, including weekends/evenings.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers in the lobby and demonstrate mobile app/ATMs.
• Provide personalized advice and connect customers to Bankers as needed.
• Follow all cash handling policies and applicable laws/regulations.
• Educate customers on Citizens products and benefits.
• Support the branch team to create exceptional customer experiences.

As a Citizens Teller - YOU make a real difference for our customers and the branch team.

What You'll Do

You’ll greet our customers in our lobbies. You’re comfortable enough with technology to demonstrate how to use our mobile app, or our ATMs, to complete simple transactions. You’ll create amazing experiences for our customers, looking for opportunities to help them achieve their financial goals by providing personalized advice and solutions that meet their needs, and connect them to our Bankers for the next step. Your knowledge of Citizens products and benefits will educate customers, and allow you to effectively respond to questions and/or concerns. All financial policies and procedures will be followed, including proper cash handling, state and local laws and regulations.

Required Qualifications

• High School degree or GED
• Minimum of 6 months experience processing transactions (cash and/or digital payments)
• Minimum of 1 year demonstrated customer experience, recommending and referring products and services to customers
• Strong listening and communication skills
• Ability to effectively ask questions and identify needs to enhance and develop a long-term customer relationship
• Ability to problem solve and provide solutions to customer issuesCustomer-centric to deliver exceptional service
• Comfortable with using digital technology to support the delivery of business goals
• Ability to work branch hours, which can include weekends and evenings

Preferred Skills/Experience

• The salary range for this position is $20.67 - $25.48 per hour. Actual pay is based on various factors including but not limited to the budget, work location, and relevant skills and experience.
