Job summary

The State of Oklahoma's ODWC seeks a qualified researcher to coordinate human dimensions studies in wildlife conservation. You will forecast public attitudes, design surveys, and guide data collection across focus groups, mail, and interviews, informing policy decisions.

Responsibilities include leading projects, supervising temporary staff, collaborating with universities, and presenting findings to executives. Some travel and weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required in Social Sciences or related field; Master’s preferred.
• One year of related experience preferred.
• Proficiency with statistical software and GIS/tableau; data analysis expertise.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate human dimensions research and surveys for wildlife management.
• Forecast perceptions, concerns, and preferences to inform policy decisions.
• Plan, organize, and direct assessments of stakeholders' knowledge and attitudes.
• Conduct qualitative and quantitative research using surveys and interviews.
• Supervise temporary staff and coordinate with universities and agencies.
• Prepare reports, summaries, and articles for diverse audiences.
• Represent the agency on national human dimensions committees.
