Verkada is seeking a Chief Information Security Officer to lead a security organization of about 30 professionals in San Mateo. You will partner with the CTO’s engineering leadership to secure hardware, software, and cloud platforms while guiding governance, risk, and compliance on a global scale.

You will drive security strategy, performance reporting to the board, and collaboration with product, legal, and business teams to enable rapid, secure innovation.

Qualifications

• Hands-on expertise across hardware/IoT, cloud, software, and AI security.
• Experience leading and scaling a security organization (≈30 people).
• Global regulatory and compliance experience across jurisdictions (e.g., Europe, Australia).
• Strong engineering partnership and ability to communicate risks to executives and customers.

Responsibilities

With that growth comes an increasingly complex security landscape spanning connected devices, cloud infrastructure, AI and machine learning at the edge, and sensitive customer video and access data.Building on an established security program and a team of approximately 30, the incoming CISO will have the opportunity to evolve the strategy, technical capabilities, and operating model for Verkada’s next stage of growth.
