Job summary

Baptist Health is seeking a Circulating Registered Nurse in the Operating Room. The role focuses on maintaining patient safety in the intraoperative environment and supporting the surgical team under the direction of the Nurse Manager and Charge RN.

The Surgical Nurse will assess patient status, anticipate needs, and help coordinate care to ensure aseptic and safe conditions throughout procedures. This position requires Kentucky RN licensure and ACLS/BCLS credentials.

Job Summary:

The Surgical Nurse is a Registered Professional Nurse who, under the immediate supervision of the Director of Surgical Services/Nurse Manager and Charge RN, is responsible for the safety of the patient while in the operating area and assists with the supervision of nonprofessional personnel in the area. By assessment of the individual patient and procedure, the nurse anticipates the needs of the surgical team and provides such services while maintaining an aseptic and safe environment.
