Job summary

Global Edge Group seeks a Circuit Design Engineer to lead the design and development of advanced avionics packages for mission-critical aerospace and defense systems. You will drive schematic design, analyses, and hardware investigations, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure certification and production readiness.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, hands-on circuit design experience, and an active DoD Secret Clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Experience in circuit design and hardware development.
• Strong card-level and board-level schematic design experience.
• Active DoD Secret Clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Lead subsystem design, development, delivery, certification, and production support activities.
• Develop and review electrical schematics and provide technical guidance for PCB layout and design.
• Perform engineering analyses including: Worst Case Analysis (WCA), Parts Stress Analysis (PSA).
• Conduct hardware investigations and failure analysis; troubleshoot system-level and hardware test anomalies.
• Support verification, validation, and certification of avionics and electronics subsystems.
• Serve as a technical authority with RSE responsibilities where applicable.
• Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, software, systems, and manufacturing teams.
• Contribute to development of advanced aerospace, defense, and mission-critical technologies.

Position Overview

Are you a talented Circuit Design Engineer looking to make a meaningful impact on some of the world's most advanced aerospace and defense technologies?

We are seeking experienced engineers to support the development of next-generation Avionics Packages for the Initiation & Preset Subsystem Program. This is an opportunity to contribute to mission-critical systems while working alongside industry-leading engineering teams developing cutting-edge defense solutions.

• Lead subsystem design, development, delivery, certification, and production support activities.
• Develop and review electrical schematics and provide technical guidance for PCB layout and design.
• Perform engineering analyses including:
• Worst Case Analysis (WCA)
• Parts Stress Analysis (PSA)
• Hardware investigations and failure analysis
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex system-level and hardware test anomalies.
• Support the verification, validation, and certification of avionics and electronics subsystems.
• Serve as a technical authority, including delegated Responsible Systems Engineer (RSE) responsibilities where applicable.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams across electrical, mechanical, software, systems, and manufacturing disciplines.
• Contribute to the development of advanced aerospace, defense, and mission-critical technologies.

Qualifications (Education, Experience, & Skills)

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Demonstrated experience in circuit design and electronic hardware development.
• Strong expertise in card-level and board-level schematic design.
• Experience developing and analyzing complex electronic systems.
• Active DoD Secret Clearance required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience within aerospace, missile defense, defense electronics, or other mission-critical industries.
• Hands-on experience with industry-standard engineering tools, including:

• Knowledge of electronics analysis methodologies and hardware design best practices.
• Experience supporting product development through testing, qualification, certification, and production.
