Thales CipherTrust is seeking a Senior Information Security Engineer to design, implement, and troubleshoot CipherTrust CTKM and CTE. You will support encryption, key management, and security appliances across enterprise environments.

The role requires hands-on CipherTrust experience, Linux/Unix/Windows administration, and scripting. You will mentor junior engineers and work in an Agile/Kanban setting with a hybrid work model in the Chandler/Columbus/Charlotte area.

Senior Information Security Engineer - Thales CipherTrust

Locations: Columbus, OH/Chandler, AZ/Charlotte, NC (3 days in hybrid) Payrate: $60-70/hr

We are seeking a Senior Information Security Engineer with strong hands-on experience with Thales CipherTrust Key Manager (CTKM) and CipherTrust Transparent Encryption (CTE). This role will serve as a technical SME supporting enterprise encryption, key management, security appliances, and data protection solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, administer, and troubleshoot CipherTrust CTKM and CTE.
• Support encryption, key management, HSMs, and security appliances.
• Administer and troubleshoot Linux, Unix, and Windows environments.
• Develop automation using Python, Bash, PowerShell, or Ansible.
• Support infrastructure, firmware, security patch, and version upgrades.
• Apply knowledge of cryptography, tokenization, FPE, and TDE.
• Support change and incident management in an enterprise environment.
• Mentor junior engineers and establish technical standards and best practices.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of Information Security Engineering experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on Thales CipherTrust Key Manager and CipherTrust Transparent Encryption experience.
• 5+ years of Linux/Unix/Windows administration.
• 5+ years of scripting/automation experience.
• 5+ years of encryption or tokenization experience.
• 3+ years supporting HSMs or security appliances.
• Strong knowledge of cryptographic protocols, algorithms, and key management.
• Experience with infrastructure upgrades, security patches, and enterprise change/incident management.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum or Kanban environments.

Preferred

• CISSP/GIAC or equivalent certification
• Ansible/Puppet/Chef experience
• Financial services experience
• Experience mentoring engineers
