Job summary

M+C Saatchi World Services is seeking a highly creative Cinematographer to produce compelling visual content for federal and strategic clients in a hybrid DMV-area role. You will collaborate with creative, production and strategy teams, plan shoots, direct talent, operate camera and lighting gear, and guide post‑production with editors and motion designers.

Qualifications

• Professional experience creating high-quality video within a creative or communications environment.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating filmmaking, cinematography, and visual storytelling.
• Experience directing interviewees, contributors and non-professional talent.
• Advanced knowledge of camera systems, lenses, lighting, audio, and field production tools.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct and capture high-quality video content for campaigns, events and digital platforms.
• Shoot interviews, documentaries, podcasts, events, and B-roll across studio and field environments.
• Develop visual approaches to bring concepts and real-world stories to life through cinematography and lighting.
• Direct interviewees and on-screen talent, creating an environment for natural communication.
• Collaborate to develop concepts, storyboards, shot lists and production approaches.
• Operate camera, lighting and audio equipment; coordinate with editors and motion designers in post-production.
• Maintain and manage equipment; ensure shoots run smoothly; organize archives and production assets.
