Job summary

Swaybox Studios is seeking a Senior CG Generalist (Modeler) to join our VFX team in New Orleans. You’ll focus on full CG creation with an emphasis on modeling, crafting detailed sets, props, and vehicles while collaborating with the VFX Supervisor, Unreal Supervisor, and Art Director to meet artistic and technical standards.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in high-end live action, strong Maya/ZBrush/Blender skills, solid UV/texturing expertise, and a passion for cinematic CG and pipeline

Qualifications

• 5+ years in high-end live action VFX as a set or environment modeller.
• Proficiency in Maya, ZBrush, Blender or similar.
• Strong hard/soft surface modeling and UV work.
• Experience with PBR workflows in Unreal Engine or Houdini.

Responsibilities

• Create and refine high-quality 3D models for sets, props, and vehicles.
• Ensure models meet creative and technical requirements for layout and lighting.
• Manage UV mapping and texture workflows.
• Develop textures and materials using painting, photo-sourcing, and projection mapping.
• Collaborate with VFX/TDs to improve pipelines and workflows.
• Maintain consistency across environments and assets.
