Job summary

SolutionHealth is hiring a Licensed Nursing Assistant in the Cardiac Intermediate Care Unit (CICU) in Manchester, NH. This full-time 36-hour/week role supports patient care under an RN, assists with daily living activities, and delivers compassionate, age-appropriate care in a high-acuity cardiac unit.

The unit operates 12-hour day shifts, 7am-7pm, three shifts per week with every other weekend. A NH LNA license and BLS are required or obtained within 90 days.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of two (2) years of current experience in an acute care setting required.
• Must be at a clinical level that reflects proficiency and in-depth knowledge of nursing practice.
• Current New Hampshire, Nursing Assistant License required.
• BLS authorization preferred or obtained within 90 days of date of hire.

Responsibilities

• Models Elliot Essentials behavior with patients, peers and all other members of the health care team.
• Performs or assists patients in the completion of activities of daily living.
• Utilizes basic knowledge of growth and development to provide age-specific patient care.
• Provides basic support to patients and families in response to identified psychosocial needs and cultural and religious preferences.
• Performs clinical tasks within the scope of LNA practice, in accordance with policies and procedures of the Elliot Health System.
• Reports observations, symptoms, deviations from normal, and changes in patient’s condition to the RN.
• Documents in the medical record according to policies and procedures and scope of practice.
• Follows infection prevention/universal precautions policies as appropriate.
• Maintains patient privacy and dignity.
• Performs designated direct and indirect patient care, clerical and environmental duties as assigned.
• Demonstrates effective communication skills: verbal, written, visual and listening.
• Demonstrates ability to work with others and as a team member.
