Job summary

Canfield Scientific, Inc. is seeking a CI/CD DevOps Engineer to design, implement, and maintain pipelines that support modern software development practices.

You will automate builds, tests, and deployments, and integrate security scanning and monitoring into pipelines. Responsibilities include IaC with Terraform/Ansible/CloudFormation for local deployments, ensuring scalable, secure environments and partnering with developers, QA, and sysadmins to streamline workflows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in CS/Engineering.
• 3+ years in DevOps, build/release, or software automation.
• Hands-on with CI/CD tools: Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI.
• Proficient in Python, Bash, Groovy, etc.
• Strong SDLC and Agile knowledge.
• Excellent collaboration and communication.
• Familiar with monitoring tools like Prometheus and Grafana.
• Experience with local platforms (Apache, PHP, MSSQL).

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and optimize CI/CD pipelines for multiple services.
• Automate build, test, and deployment processes.
• Integrate testing, security scanning, and monitoring into pipelines.
• Implement IaC using Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation for local deployments.
• Ensure scalability, resilience, and security of environments.
• Collaborate with engineers, QA, and sysadmins to streamline delivery.
• Provide guidance to troubleshoot pipeline issues.
• Champion DevOps practices and track performance metrics.
• Implement observability for pipelines.
• Stay current with emerging DevOps tools.
