Job summary

The Catholic Parishes of South Washington County are seeking a part-time accompanist to play piano for Sunday celebrations, Holy Days, weddings, and funerals at St. Augustine (Williamsport), St. James (Boonsboro), and St. Joseph (Hagerstown).

Masses may require travel between the three churches. The stipend is paid per event, with no additional benefits. Prior Virtus training and liturgical knowledge are preferred.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in piano is required.
• Education and/or experience in Catholic liturgy and liturgical music.
• Virtus training completed and kept up to date.
• Ability to work with Director of Liturgical Music, cantors, and choir.

Responsibilities

• Play the piano for principal Sunday celebrations, Holy days, weddings, and funerals.
• Arrive early to review music for Masses as requested.
• Attend rehearsals as directed by the Director of Liturgical Music.
• Travel between three churches as needed for Masses.
