Job summary

Brigham Young University is seeking an adjunct instructor to teach Church History and Doctrine courses. Responsibilities include delivering classes in Rel C 225, 320, 341–343 across day, evening, or BYU Online formats, with candidates expected to relocate or reside in Utah for the duration.

The successful applicant will hold a Master’s degree by start date and demonstrate potential in teaching the restored gospel within BYU’s mission framework.

Qualifications

• Master's degree required; degree must be completed by the start date.
• Experience teaching Church History or religious education is preferred.
• Ability to teach BYU Online, day or evening classes.

Responsibilities

• Teach assigned Church History & Doctrine courses (Rel C 225 Foundations of the Restoration; Rel C 320 Doctrine & Covenants; Rel C 341, 342, 343 History of the Church).
• Deliver instruction in day, evening, or BYU Online formats.
• Align course aims with BYU mission and standards; engage students and assess learning outcomes.
