Job summary

The Chula Vista Elementary School District is seeking a substitute supervisor to oversee elementary students in the cafeteria, lunch area, bus loading zones, and on the playground. You will guide students to stay safe, engaged, and respectful during recreational times.

Responsibilities include monitoring behavior, ensuring orderly conduct, and supporting staff with transitions and activities to promote a positive school environment. Prior certification in CPR/First Aid is required.

Qualifications

• Current Adult and Child CPR, First Aid and AED certification from ARC or AHA (no online-only).
• Resume required for current substitutes and employees as well as outside applicants.

• Provide Most Recent TB Test
• Mandated Reporter Trainings (www.jpalearninglibrary.com)

Comments and Other Information

Probationary employees serving the initial probationary period (6 months) in the District are not eligible for voluntary transfer. However, they are eligible to apply for a promotional opportunity pursuant to Article 11, Transfer of the CVCEO/District Agreement.
