Job summary

The Wildlife Society is seeking a Seasonal CWD Technician to support wildlife health and disease surveillance. You will collect samples from hunter-harvested animals at designated CWD sampling locations and help educate the public about conservation.

The position runs October 13 through December 4 with a varying schedule, outdoors in changing conditions. Pay is $21.11 per hour, with weekly Friday pay, and training is provided.

Are you passionate about wildlife health and conservation? Join our seasonal team as a CWD Technician, where you'll play a key role in monitoring Chronic Wasting Disease in harvested game animals.

What You’ll Do:

Collect biological samples from hunter-harvested animals at designated CWD sampling locations.
Follow established protocols to accurately and efficiently collect samples and sample data in the presence of hunters.
Ensure all data is properly recorded and handled according to program standards.
Provide respectful, informative and educational interactions with the public, representing the agency with professionalism.

Schedule & Duration:

Seasonal position running October 13th through December 4th.
Schedule will vary Sunday through Saturday, with two consecutive days off each week.
