Job summary

The Salvation Army is seeking a seasonal Christmas driver to deliver and pick up bell ringers and kettles on an assigned route in the Lansing area, with responsibilities including vehicle maintenance and documentation. The role may involve other seasonal driving tasks as needed.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED (preferred) and being at least 18 years old, plus a valid driver’s license with a chauffeur’s endorsement and Safe From Harm training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED (preferred), or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
• At least 18 years old
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365
• Basic computer knowledge
• Must have and maintain a valid drivers’ license with a chauffeur’s endorsement and pass The Salvation Army Motor Vehicle (MVR) check
• Complete Safe From Harm training, and keep current as needed

Responsibilities

• Deliver and pick-up bell ringers and kettles on an assigned route
• Maintain vehicle(s), being sure it is cleaned and prepared for next use
• Keep accurate maintenance and mileage logs, report any safety or maintenance needs for the vehicle
• Communicate any problems to supervisor
• Perform other duties as assigned
