Job summary

Christian Academy School System’s Indiana Campus in New Albany seeks a Middle School Baseball Head Coach. The role leads an education-based athletics program, focusing on character development, biblical leadership, and safety.

You will mentor student-athletes, collaborate with the Varsity Coach, and recruit qualified assistant coaches while upholding school rules and faith-based objectives.

Qualifications

• A strong and clear Christian testimony with a mature, godly spirit.
• A daily example of the highest Christian virtue both in and out of school.
• Commitment to faithful attendance and support of a church whose beliefs align with the Statement of Faith.
• Strong commitment to CAI Mission and Purpose statements.
• Ability to encourage partnerships with parents, coaches, students and other schools.
• Understands the developmental nature of middle school sports.
• Playing experience in the sport is preferred.
• Previous coaching experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coach from a biblical perspective and strive to be a true reflection of Jesus.
• Create a winning environment through positivity and daily encouragement.
• Teach athletes to perform sound, safe, fundamental techniques.
• Work with Varsity Coach to create a cohesive, feeder program.
• Uphold the Heart of a Warrior characteristics and instill honesty, loyalty, respect and unity.
• Create and communicate a Transformational Purpose Statement.
• Abide by the responsibilities outline in the Coaches Handbook.
• Recruit and hire competent and professional assistant coaches.
• Follow all CAI School, CAI Athletics, IHSAA and National Federation rules.
• Engage in clear communication with all program stakeholders.
• Encourage athletes to participate in additional sports/activities.
• Inspect and maintain inventory and storage of all program equipment.
