Job summary

Lenawee Christian Ministries is seeking a passionate, Christ-centered Secondary History Teacher who will guide students through history with a biblical worldview and critical thinking. This long-term substitute position supports the Lenawee Christian School community in Adrian, MI.

You will develop engaging, inquiry-based lessons, integrate biblical principles, and mentor students while aligning with the school mission. The role reports to the Secondary Principal and runs January 19–June 4, 2027.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in education or a related field from an accredited college or university.
• State of Michigan teaching certification preferred; eligible for certification or pursuing certification will be considered.
• Commitment to integrating Christian faith into instruction.
• Experience teaching at middle or high school level preferred.
• Ability to integrate biblical truth into history.

Responsibilities

• Teach high school history courses such as U.S. History, World History, Government, or related subjects.
• Develop lesson plans that foster inquiry-based learning and biblical integration.
• Encourage discussion and critical analysis of historical events and their impact on today’s world.
• Support school mission through godly mentorship and participation in extracurricular activities and student ministry groups.
