Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; classroom experience preferred.
• Strong Bible knowledge with ability to apply principles to teaching, correction, and reproof.
• Testimony aligned with faith and signing of Statement of Faith.
• Ability to lead and relate well with staff, committee members, parents, Headmaster, and board.
• Reliability and consistent attendance.
• Willingness to participate in teacher training or related classes.
• Ability to enforce discipline from a Biblical perspective.
• Well organized and read in own area of expertise.
• Able to sign confidentiality and non-disclosure agreement.

Responsibilities

• Teach regularly scheduled classes in assigned curriculum area.
• Monitor academic, spiritual, and social development of each student.
• Use instructional aids and methods to enable creative and effective teaching.
• Ensure curricula support Providence Academy philosophy of classical Christ-centered education.
• Create syllabi with lesson plans and align goals with curriculum.
• Complete daily lessons and record attendance and grades.
• Plan field trips and guest lectures for engaging learning.
• Maintain classroom discipline and manage school premises.
