Job summary

Gateway Fellowship is seeking a Middle School Assistant Coach to work with student-athletes in a supportive Christian environment. The ideal candidate enjoys mentoring middle school students, has strong communication and teamwork skills, and demonstrates a positive and reliable character. Responsibilities include leading practice sessions, teaching fundamentals, and ensuring a safe and positive team culture. Previous coaching experience is preferred. This position is stipend-based and typically lasts for the season with a salary of $1,600.

Qualifications

• Enjoys working with middle school-aged students.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Demonstrates a positive attitude and reliability.
• Preferred minimum age of 21.

Responsibilities

• Supports and helps lead practice sessions 3-4 times per week.
• Helps teach basic skills, rules, and teamwork.
• Assists with game-day responsibilities and supervision.
• Encourages positive attitudes, effort, and sportsmanship.
• Communicates with players and supports parent communication.
