Job summary

Second Baptist School is seeking a Middle School Girl’s Softball Coach to assist the Head Coach in developing athletes, preparing practices, and executing games with a Christ-centered approach.

The ideal candidate will have coaching or playing experience, a bachelor’s degree, and a commitment to mentoring students in faith, athletics and life skills within a Christian education framework.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• Prior coaching and/or playing experience.
• Mentor student athletes in their Christian faith, athletic skills and life skills.
• Understand and embrace Christian education; biblical perspective on athletics and competition.
• Be able to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others.
• Be personable, energetic and approachable.
• Report to work on a regular and punctual basis.
• Be committed to professional growth.
• Be willing to collaborate with colleagues.
• Be proficient in technology.

Responsibilities

• Support the Head Coach in all aspects of the middle school softball program.
• Assist in player development, practice preparation and game execution.
• Help cultivate a competitive and positive team environment.
• Model Christ-centered leadership for student-athletes.
• Ensure alignment with SBS athletic handbook policies and school directives.
