Concorde Education is seeking qualified instructors to lead after-school vocal programs at partner schools and community sites in the Washington, DC area. These are independent contractor opportunities with flexible, assignment-based schedules.
You will teach choral singing, vocal technique, breathing, posture, projection, and ensemble skills, adapting to different ages and ability levels. Prior K-12 classroom or after-school experience is preferred; certification is not required unless stated.
Location: On-site at partner schools or community locations (varies by assignment)
Schedule: Typically 1-4 instructional hours per week, primarily after school
Program Length: Approximately 8-10 weeks per assignment
Start Date: Rolling opportunities based on school partner schedules
Compensation: Starting at $50+ per instructional hour, with rates varying based on the assignment, instructor qualifications, experience, location, scheduling needs, and other program-related factors. Most assignments fall between $50-$65 per instructional hour.
Concorde Education partners with schools and community organizations to provide engaging enrichment programs that inspire creativity, confidence, collaboration, and lifelong learning.
Experience working with K-12 students in a school, after-school, camp, community, private lesson, or youth music setting is strongly preferred.
Formal teaching certification is not required unless specifically stated for an individual assignment.
