East Texas A&M University invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant/Associate Professor in Music (Director of Choral Activities). The successful candidate will lead the choral program, direct the University Chorale and Chamber Singers, teach choral conducting and literature, mentor students, and contribute to RSCA, recruitment, outreach, and service.

Qualifications

Doctorate required; equivalent university experience may be considered.
Experience in choral conducting and ensemble leadership.
Knowledge of choral repertoire, conducting techniques, and vocal pedagogy.
Ability to teach and mentor students in a collegiate environment.
Experience recruiting and developing choral programs.

Responsibilities

Provide artistic, educational, and programmatic leadership for the choral program.
Direct the University Chorale and Chamber Singers and oversee their development.
Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in choral conducting and literature.
Mentor student teachers and collaborate with music education faculty.
Lead recruitment initiatives and coordinate auditions, clinics, and festivals.
Collaborate with faculty across the School of Music to support student success.
Pursue scholarly activity through conducting, performances, and presentations.
