Job description

Certain roles at Tyson require background checks. If you are offered a position that requires a background check, you will be provided with additional documentation to complete once an offer has been extended.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Monday - Friday with possible Saturdays
• Hours: 2:00 pm until the end of production
• Pay: $17.30/hr

Responsibilities:

1. The chopper operator must learn to set up meat according to a formula consistently while following proper guidelines.
2. This position requires keeping accurate records of meat and skin usage.
3. Assist in cleaning and sanitation of the line following all USDA/Tyson guidelines.
4. Help set up the line at the start of the shift. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
5. This position involves lifting 50 to 70 lbs continuously.

Additional requirements:

All applicants must provide their government identification number for employment verification. Rehiring is possible after 365 days, provided the applicant has not worked more than twice previously for Tyson. Longer waiting periods may apply based on dismissal reasons.
