Job summary

Tucson Unified School District seeks a part-time Classified Instructor to deliver structured academic and enrichment activities within the 21st Century Community Learning Centers program.

The role supports before-school, after-school, intersession, and summer programming, working with students individually and in groups under supervision of site staff. A high school diploma or GED is required.

SUMMARY

Position Summary: The 21st CCLC Classified Instructor provides direct instructional and enrichment support to students participating in the 21st Century Community Learning Centers program. The position assists with the delivery of structured academic, enrichment, and skill-building activities during out-of-school-time programming, including before-school, after-school, intersession, and summer programs. The Classified Instructor works independently or under the direction of the Site Coordinator and/or certified instructional staff to facilitate planned learning activities that support the goals and objectives of the 21st CCLC grant.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to facilitate structured academic and enrichment activities.
• Ability to work effectively with students individually and in small or large groups.
• Ability to follow lesson plans, activity plans, curriculum, and program guidelines.
• Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to maintain appropriate student supervision and a positive learning environment.

REQUIREMENTS PRIOR TO START DATE

• FBI fingerprint background check.
• Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS

• Experience working with school-age children
• Experience in out of school, summer learning, or expanded learning programs.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
• Experience working with diverse student populations.

Location: Roskruge K8 - 6th Street & Euclid Areas
Classification: Supplemental Hourly, Tuesdays, Thursdays, And Fridays 4:00pm-5:00pm
Work Calendar:12 month

Positions less than 30 hours per week are not eligible for district benefits.

Salary will be prorated if the start date is after the first day of the work calendar for the position.

Internal candidates will transfer at a rate commensurate with their bargaining unit language.
