Job summary

Nestlé USA in Burlington, Wisconsin is seeking a Conche Operator for the 3rd shift. You will manage conche equipment, control temperatures, handle flavors, and maintain production records while ensuring safety and quality.

Requires a high school diploma or GED and 1–3 years related experience. Overtime is required; benefits include a total rewards package and 401k with company match.

Responsibilities

  • Fill conches with product per manufacturing instructions.
  • Flavor conches at proper time in cycle per instructions.
  • Scrape conches at the correct time in cycle.
  • Operate pumps and line equipment to move product.
  • Take lab samples and coordinate with lab technicians.
  • Maintain inventory of flavors and production records.
  • Train others on job tasks and assist with improvements.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Conche Operator is responsible for all conche equipment including conches, pumps, product conveying equipment, temperature controls, and computerized process control equipment. This position maintains proper inventory levels and

Job Rotation
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
  • Fill conches with proper product according to manufacturing instructions
  • Flavor conches at proper time in cycle according to manufacturing instructions for the various products
  • Scrape conches at proper time in cycle according to manufacturing instructions for the various products
  • Pump conches to proper jumbo at completion of conch cycle according to manufacturing instructions for the various products
  • Add flavor, cocoa butter and lecithin to conches according to manufacturing instructions for the various products
  • Set and control the temperatures of the conches according to the manufacturing instructions for the various products
  • Butter wash conches as required.
  • Take lab samples and notify lab technician when conches are to be pumped
  • Maintain proper inventory of flavors
  • Maintain accurate daily production records
  • Rework out of spec product and screen grainy conches
  • Take refined stock and fill certain conches
  • Add ingredients-some computerized, some require manual lifting, including yelk, velk, butter, flavoring, coconut oil
  • Set pipes, close conche lids
  • Ensure product is moving properly
  • Maintain housekeeping and sanitation of work area
  • Use of Nestlé computer systems for accurate tracking of product as required
  • Train others on job tasks of this role
  • Perform other duties as assigned

QUALITY

Follow all required GMP, quality and food safety requirements and policies. In addition, employee shall notify their supervisor or other designated personnel of all quality or food safety findings, risks, or incidents.

Support the Nestlé Continuous Excellence (NCE) initiative through full participation in team improvement activities, operational reviews, and formal problem solving.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

Requires a high school diploma or general education degree (GED) and one to three years of related experience; or a combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operation and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine repots and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively with groups or employees of the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, and diagram or schedule form.

Pay:$30.95 per hour

The pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at top of range.
