Job summary

The Joint Chiropractic in Rosemead, CA is seeking a licensed Doctor of Chiropractic to join our part-time team. You will review patient histories, perform adjustments, educate patients, and maintain records while building strong patient relationships and selling memberships.

This role requires weekend availability, a DC license, NBCE/NCBE qualifications, and the ability to work with a diverse patient base.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college is required.
• Doctor of Chiropractic degree from an accredited college.
• Passing NCBE Parts I–IV is required; Part IV NBCE SPEC acceptable.
• Valid DC license in the applicable state.
• Eligibility for malpractice insurance in the applicable state.

Responsibilities

• Consult with patients by reviewing health and medical histories, questioning, observing, and examining patients.
• Evaluate neuro-musculoskeletal systems and the spine to diagnose conditions.
• Perform manual adjustments to the spine or other articulations to correct the musculoskeletal system.
• Educate patients on benefits of routine chiropractic care and propose treatment.
• Maintain accurate case histories of patients.
• Obtain and record patients' medical histories as indicated.
• Arrange for diagnostic x-rays when medically necessary.
• Analyze x‑rays to locate sources of difficulties and rule out fractures or diseases.
• Provide patient chiropractic care and education.
• Build positive doctor‑patient relationships.
• Maintain accurate and timely patient records.
• Sell membership packages.

Education

The Opportunity

Responsibilities

• Consult with patients by reviewing health and medical histories; questioning, observing, and examining patients; and reviewing x‑rays, as indicated
• Evaluate patients’ neuro‑musculoskeletal systems and the spine using chiropractic diagnosis to determine neuro‑musculoskeletal and spine‑related conditions
• Perform manual adjustments to the spine, or other articulations of the body, in order to correct the musculoskeletal system, where necessary
• Educate patients on the quality‑of‑life benefits of routine chiropractic care and provide a recommended course of treatment
• Maintain accurate case histories of patients
• Obtain and record patients' medical histories, as indicated
• Arrange for diagnostic x‑rays to be taken, when medically necessary
• Analyze x‑rays to locate the sources of patients' difficulties and rule out fractures or diseases as sources of problems
• Provide patient chiropractic care and education
• Build positive doctor‑patient relationships

Qualifications

• 4‑year bachelor’s degree from an accredited college
• A Doctor of Chiropractic degree from an accredited chiropractic college
• Passing scores for Parts I, II, III, and IV from NCBE
• A recent NBCE SPEC exam is an acceptable alternative for Part IV
• Valid DC license in the applicable state
• Fully eligible for malpractice insurance in the applicable state
