Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college is required.
• A Doctor of Chiropractic degree from an accredited college is required.
• Passing NCBE Parts I–IV is required or an NBCE SPEC for Part IV is acceptable.
• Valid DC license in the applicable state and malpractice insurance eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Consult with patients by reviewing health and medical histories, questioning, observing, and examining patients, and reviewing x-rays as indicated.
• Evaluate neuromusculoskeletal systems and the spine to determine conditions.
• Perform manual adjustments to the spine or other articulations to correct musculoskeletal issues.
• Educate patients on benefits of routine chiropractic care and provide a recommended course of treatment.
• Maintain accurate patient case histories and records; arrange for diagnostic x-rays when medically necessary.
• Analyze x-rays to locate sources of difficulties and rule out fractures or diseases.
• Build positive doctor-patient relationships and supervise patient education.
• Sell membership packages as part of practice management.

Education

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college

Doctor of Chiropractic degree from an accredited chiropractic college

Passing scores for Parts I, II, III, and IV from NCBE

Valid DC license in the applicable state
