Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college required.
• Doctor of Chiropractic degree from an accredited chiropractic college required.
• Passing Parts I–IV from NCBE required; NBCE SPEC acceptable as Part IV alternative.
• Valid DC license in the applicable state required.
• Malpractice insurance eligibility in the applicable state required.

Responsibilities

• Consult with patients by reviewing health and medical histories; questioning, observing, and examining patients; and reviewing x-rays when indicated.
• Evaluate patients’ neuromusculoskeletal systems and spine to determine conditions.
• Perform manual adjustments to the spine or other articulations to correct the musculoskeletal system.
• Educate patients on the benefits of routine chiropractic care and provide a recommended course of treatment.
• Maintain accurate case histories and patient records.
• Record patients’ medical histories as indicated and arrange for diagnostic x-rays when medically necessary.
• Analyze x-rays to locate sources of difficulties and rule out fractures or diseases as sources of problems.
• Foster patient education and care; build positive doctor-patient relationships.
• Maintain accurate and timely patient records; assist in selling membership packages.

Education

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college

Doctor of Chiropractic degree from an accredited chiropractic college

Passing scores for Parts I, II, III, and IV from NCBE

NBCE SPEC exam acceptable alternative for Part IV

Valid DC license in the applicable state

Fully eligible for Malpractice Insurance in the applicable state
