Job summary

NorthLakes Community Clinic is seeking a Certified Chiropractic Technician to assist with patient examinations and therapies under the supervision of a Chiropractor. The role includes rooming patients, recording vitals, and handling intake and scheduling tasks within the clinic, with responsibilities expanding for CRT-credentialed staff.

Qualified candidates should hold a Chiropractic Technician certification and WI licensure (or be within 90 days of obtaining it).

Qualifications

  • Completion of a Chiropractic Technician certification course deemed acceptable by the State examining board.
  • Active WI Chiropractic Technician licensure required or to be obtained within 90 days of hire.
  • CRTs must possess an active Chiropractic Radiologic Technician license in WI.
  • CPR certification required.
  • Previous Chiropractic work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in examinations and therapies as directed by providers and standards.
  • Room patients, measure vitals, obtain history, and record in EMR.
  • Inform provider of patient or record concerns.
  • Instruct, administer, and supervise therapies as directed.
  • Assist with patient scheduling, insurance inquiries, referrals, and clerical duties.
  • Clean and sterilize instruments, and prepare rooms and clinics areas.
  • Inventory, order, and stock supplies and materials.

Candidates must reside within NorthLakes' service area at the time of hire and maintain residency throughout employment.

Under the supervision of the Chiropractor, assists in examinations and treatment of patients.

The Certified Chiropractic Technician may also perform other tasks related to registration, scheduling, and billing.

Those with a verified Chiropractic Radiologic Technician licensure (DSPS) may perform delegated x-ray services and duties under the direction of the Chiropractor.

Salary begins at $20.45 + per hour depending on experience.

Essential Job Functions Essential Functions of the Job:
  • Participate in a team atmosphere to serve the patient population.
  • Assist the providers with examinations and therapies as directed by organizational standards, organizational procedures, and state licensing.
  • Room patients, measure vital signs, obtain patient history and other pertinent information, and record information in the patient's electronic health record.
  • Inform provider of any patient or patient record concerns.
  • Instruct, administer, and supervise therapies per provider direction and organizational standards.
  • Assist in miscellaneous administrative duties when needed such as patient scheduling, insurance inquiries, referrals, letters, collecting medical records, making copies, and other clerical duties as assigned.
  • Clean and sterilize instruments.
  • Clean and prepare tables, rooms, and other clinic areas including laundry.
  • Inventory, order, and stock supplies and materials.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Certified Techs with CRT Licensure:

Additionally may perform x-ray duties within their scope as directed by the Chiropractor.

  • Participate in a team atmosphere to serve the patient population.
  • Assist the providers with examinations and therapies as directed by organizational standards, organizational procedures, and state licensing.
  • Room patients, measure vital signs, obtain patient history and other pertinent information, and record information in the patient's electronic health record.
  • Inform provider of any patient or patient record concerns.
  • Instruct, administer, and supervise therapies per provider direction and organizational standards.
  • Assist in miscellaneous administrative duties when needed such as patient scheduling, insurance inquiries, referrals, letters, collecting medical records, making copies, and other clerical duties as assigned.
  • Clean and sterilize instruments.
  • Clean and prepare tables, rooms, and other clinic areas including laundry.
  • Inventory, order, and stock supplies and materials.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Candidates not yet certified upon hire, will be limited to the essential duties of the job listed below, until certification is obtained within their Introductory Period:
  • Participate in a team atmosphere to serve the patient population.
  • Accurately and thoroughly document patient information in the EMR as directed by, performed by, or explained by, the provider.
  • Inform provider of any patient or patient record concerns.
  • Assist in miscellaneous administrative duties when needed such as patient scheduling, insurance inquiries, referrals, letters, collecting medical records, making copies, and other clerical duties as assigned.
  • Clean and sterilize instruments.
  • Clean and prepare tables, rooms, and other clinic areas including laundry.
  • Inventory, order, and stock supplies and materials.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
  • Completion of a Chiropractic Technician certification course deemed acceptable by the State examining board.
  • Active WI Chiropractic Technician licensure required or to be obtained within 90 days of hire.
FOR CHIRO TECHS WITH CRT CREDENTIAL: CRTs Must possess an active Chiropractic Radiologic Technician (CRT) license in the State of WI. - See CRT job profile - Required Credentials, Certification, Licensure Active Chiropractic Technician licensure in State of WI required, or to be obtained within 90 days of hire. CPR certification required.

Preferred Skills: Previous Chiropractic work experience preferred.
