Job summary

NSA/CSS seeks skilled language analysts to support SIGINT missions using Chinese language proficiency. MDLAs engage with partners across the IC, perform translation, transcription, and analysis, and prepare reports that inform policy and operations.

Applicants should have ILR 2/2 reading/listening, a related degree, and the ability to work independently and in teams in a dynamic, security-sensitive environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum ILR level 2/2 in reading and listening for the target language.
• A degree in any field is acceptable.
• 1+ year of relevant experience in language, intelligence analysis, or related fields.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, transcribe, and translate foreign language materials.
• Engage with partners across the Intelligence Community to support mission objectives.
• Prepare written assessments and reports for policymakers and operators.
• Mentor and coach other Language Analysts as needed.
• Ensure the technical health of the mission and use internal tools effectively.
