Job summary

Qualifications

• Coaching techniques and procedures knowledge.
• Ability to instruct and supervise student athletes.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of PE TEKS and classroom organization.
• Up-to-date on health, nutrition, and athletic performance.
• Advanced level Chinese language proficiency in speaking and writing.

Responsibilities

• Teach physical fitness, health education, rhythms and dance, and team sports.
• Manage athletic activities, contests, and practice sessions to promote growth in skills and teamwork.
• Collaborate with staff to plan instructional goals for student development.
• Coordinate with PE teachers to implement a balanced program.
• Explain basic skills and strategies of sports and movement.
• Establish performance criteria and evaluate students' abilities.
• Ensure safety of students and equipment.
• Enforce eligibility for extracurriculars.
• Model sportsmanship and discipline during contests and travel.
• Communicate with parents and teachers through conferences.
• Assist in equipment selection and inventory.
• Maintain reports and records.
• Oversee cleaning, repair, and storage of equipment; manage fixed assets.
• Follow district safety protocols.
• Supervise instructional aide(s).
