Job summary

General Atlantic is seeking an Analyst to support the China Investment team in Shanghai. You will assist across the investment process, from sourcing opportunities to initial diligence and presenting to the Investment Committee, while supporting value creation in GA’s portfolio.

You will build financial models, draft memoranda, and collaborate with senior colleagues to identify high-growth targets and themes through in-depth research and industry calls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Accounting or related field.
• 1–2 years of relevant experience (IB/PE/VC preferred).
• Mandarin and English fluency required.
• Strong financial modeling and Excel/PowerPoint skills.
• Desire to work with high-growth portfolio companies.

Responsibilities

• Build financial models and perform analysis for due diligence and portfolio value creation.
• Draft investment memoranda and present to the Investment Committee.
• Collaborate with Managing Directors, VPs, and portfolio management teams.
• Conduct industry research to identify investment themes and targets.
• Perform deep proprietary research via calls with industry contacts and consultants.
