Job summary

Fluid Chillers, Inc. is seeking a Chiller System Engineer - Project Manager to oversee custom-built chiller and heat transfer systems. You will bridge sales, production and the customer to ensure quotes, designs and builds meet standards and expectations.

Responsibilities include leading design meetings, engineering mechanical refrigeration, developing BOMs, and producing P&IDs and layouts for submittals. You will coordinate design changes with customers and contractors to advance production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, HVAC, or similar field.
• 3-5 years of experience.
• AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Lead design meetings with customers, OEMs and cross-discipline teams.
• Engineer mechanical refrigeration and pumping systems per specs.
• Specify components and develop BOMs for systems.
• Create engineering drawings (P&IDs, layouts, arrangements) for submittals.
• Coordinate with customers and contractors on design changes and production status.

Job description

The Chiller System Engineer - Project Manager manages assigned jobs for primarily custom-built chiller and heat transfer systems. They work as a direct link between sales, production and the customer to ensure systems are being quoted, designed and built to our standards, while meeting customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leads design meetings with customers, OEMs and with other engineering disciplines on custom projects.
• Engineering mechanical refrigeration and pumping systems based on provided specifications.
• Specifying components and developing BOMs for mechanical refrigeration systems.
• Producing engineering drawings such as P&IDs, plumbing layouts and general arrangements for customer submittal packages.
• Works directly with customers and contractors regarding design approvals, engineering changes, and overall status of production on custom and standard products.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
