CALEX SPORTS INC is seeking part-time coaches for various after-school programs in Atherton, California. Coaches will teach classes focused on engaging children aged 5–10 in sports such as Tennis, Pickleball, Volleyball, Dance, Yoga, and Basketball. Responsibilities include managing class sizes, conducting sessions from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM, and interacting with parents. Pay ranges from $50 to $65 per session, and candidates must be 19+, local, and fully vaccinated.

Job Overview

Our programs are held at various elementary schools, Monday–Friday between 1:00 PM and 5:00 PM. This is a part‑time position where coaches typically teach one class per day (about one hour), with the possibility of an extra 30 minutes of pre‑care. These sessions focus on creating a fun and energetic environment for younger and beginner‑level children.

The pay ranges from $50–$65 per session, and all equipment is provided by us.

Responsibilities

• Teach classes for students ages 5–10 using provided lesson plans.
• Manage class size (8–16 students) and maintain a positive environment.
• Attend a 2‑day training or shadowing session before starting.
• Take attendance, manage student sign‑ins, and interact with parents/school staff.
• Capture a few class photos for documentation.

Requirements

• Must be 19+ years old upon application.
• Candidates must currently live locally and be available for in‑person work.
• Experience in sports you are applying for, coaching, or working with kids is preferred but not required.
• Enjoys working with children in a positive and active setting.
• Flexible, reliable, and punctual.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must be fully vaccinated and willing to undergo a TB test and Live Scan background check before starting work.
• Must complete sending a photo and short biography to upload on our website and introduce your experience in sports.

Notes

We do have openings for After School Tennis, Pickleball, Volleyball, Dance, Yoga, and Basketball. Programs are offered at multiple schools across the Bay Area.

Work type: Part‑time (2–5 hours per week). Pay: $50–$65 per session.
